There are many beautiful places in the world to hike and one of them is Ireland. Its culture, people, scenery and history draw you to this special place. The country is broken into two regions – Northern Ireland  and the Republic of Ireland. There are three main long distance walks in Republic of Ireland – Kerry Way (217 km), Dingle Way (179 km) and Wicklow Way (127 km) and many tour operators that will help you with your guided or self guided holiday.

In Northern Ireland – there a series of nine waymarked ways such as Mourne Way (41 km),  Antrium Hills way (33.5km),  and Causeway Coast Way (52 km) , Moyle Way ( 20 miles) , Newry Canal Way (20 miles), Ring of Guillon Way (36 miles) , Lecale Way (40 miles)m Sliabh Beagh Way (30 miles), Central Sperrins Way (30 miles)  and the long one – Ulster Way (585 mile) a circular route around Northern Ireland.  Northern Ireland has a great website for hikers – Walk NI that provides information on walking clubs, maps, trail info, walking providers and walking holiday operators.

There are many other noteworthy hikes in Ireland such as Croagh Patrick, Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, Slieve League, Galtymore, Mount Brandon , Lugnaquilla, Coomloughra Horseshoe and Slieve Donard .  All the links in the above sentence are to videos and the one below is Mount Brandon.
